Hiring a new CEO or ED is a serious and time-consuming undertaking. This individual must be able to successfully interface with staff, the Board of Directors, the Membership, and Partner Organizations.
The job of an Association CEO is different from that of a Corporate CEO or a University or Hospital Administrator. Association members have a real sense of ownership that is different from shareholders in a company. In addition, the regulations, tax laws, and bylaws that govern an association are significantly different from a corporate or university environment.
A volunteer Search Committee provides critical representation of the membership but they often struggle with the logistical intricacies and the time demands.
Finding the right individual to lead your organization into the future is a huge responsibility for the Board of Directors and the Search Committee. We can offer logistical and process support to help your organization successfully navigate this important task.
